This Wavelength Rhythm painting was inspired by reptilian patterns. Iridescent silver was flowed over the textured surface followed by a wash of carbon black to accentuate the texture, finished off with more silver highlights. <\/strong>As I create the shapes with my special acrylic medium, the pattern that emerges usually has something to do with the music I am listening to. <\/strong>Life is made up of wavelengths, after all.<\/strong><\/p>\n The identifying number of this painting is 2016DAWR040IS and its name is “Thunder Dragon.”<\/strong><\/p>\n It measures 12\u2033 by 12\u2033 and was first richly textured with my special medium, then painted on a panel with highest-quality acrylic mediums and pigments. My techniques include pouring, squirting, brushing, wiping, dabbing and watching the paint flow through the textures I made: messy but the result is worth it…and which is why each painting is utterly unique.<\/strong><\/p>\n Artist’s Collection.
